Documentation or info on match criteria for fields

Hi,

Apologies I searched. But couldn’t locate a FAQ or help document on the built-in field validators.

In particular the match string..

I would like to know the match criteria used on EMAIL fields please.

So I know if I need to write my own regexp.

Awesome that is fabulous.

BTW the validator allows spaces in the email address which is invalid I thought?

eg

“foo @bar” AND “foo@ bar” will pass as valid
