    Hello Support-Team,

    i have the problem that sometimes the links of the uploaded images are not linked in the delivered mail. When I look in the backend, two mails with the same timestamp and sent by the same person are displayed there. But it seems that only the second mail is delivered/sent. In the first one the attachments are linked and clickable. In the second mail they are not clickable. And the second one is delivered.

    What to do? Do you have an idea?

    Hi Ally,
    1. unfortunately I don’t know why the mail is delivered two times. I can’t reproduce the problem either. Have tried everything – click quickly several times, or similar. – is delivered once and correctly.

    2. I think this is unlikely. The mail is marked twice in the backend as sent. And also at the same time stamp. In addition, all other mails, even with many images, are delivered correctly. The problem occurs maybe with 1 out of 25.

    I use the SMTP plugin “Post SMTP” since the beginning.
    I have now installed the “WP Mail Logging” and wait until something happens again.

    Hi Ally,

    I have had “WP Mail Logging” running for over a while now and once again a mail has been delivered with no image links. Unfortunately, the log only says that two mails are sent. Once with images and once without. All other mails are delivered only once. The faulty ones twice. That is quite strange. And especially the first one (with the picture links) is not sent. But I can’t find anything wrong in the log. They look completely identical from both mails, just have the difference that the thumbnail images of the picture are with and without link (a href).
    I still have the debug mode on now and wait until it happens again. I will report back then.

    But I do not have an idea. Mainly because I can’t reproduce it.

    Do you have another idea?

    I just looked again into the log of “Post SMTP”. There appears ONLY the second mail – that is, the one that has no links to the picture thumbnails. The first one, which has the correct links, does not appear in the log.

    As a precaution I have increased the following values. Let’s see if it does anything.
    php_value max_input_vars 3000
    php_value max_execution_time 300
    php_value post_max_size 256M

    Maybe you can think of something else 😉

    Hello Ally,
    happy new year.
    unfortunately, some things from the old year have remained the same. The unattached picture-links for example. I read the log file and it seems to be a memory problem. What do you suggest I do? How can I limit the attached files so that I do not reach the limit? Or can I increase the memry?

    a second attempt to upload the debug.log as a ZIP, because the previous attempt said that the file was not allowed.

    now i can finally produce the error. It seems to be due to the size and number of attached files. If I attach more than 2 images with 9,5MB file size each I get an ajax error. See attached file (screenshot). And then you can still click out of “Send” and the mail is delivered without images.

    The customer really wants to allow 10MB images and get at least 5-7 images attached.

    What can I do?

    is there a way to resize the images – before uploading and generating the mail ?
