Hi there!
We have a problem when a form submission is sent to an admin email outside the server the wordpress site is hosted. The receivers mailserver (Comendo) and also our host tells us that the problem lies with the email that is sent from wordpress. The problem is that the receivers mailserver reject the email because “BODY LINE” is too long.
Here are further details.
- 1. In the email log on the server that the wordpress site is hosted we see the error message: SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: host gw1.security.comendo.com [89.104.217.10]: 552 5.6.0 Body line too long (see RFC2822 section 3.5)
- 2. The receivers mailserver, Comendo, is not able to receive the email, as stated above.
- 3. Comendo tells us that they have a maximum limit for Body Lines and the sender of the email must ensure the email is compatible with all operating systems.
- 4. As an example a line in the email must end with “CR+LF” for Microsoft Windows” as stated here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newline
- 5. How do ensure the email the email is “well-formed” so that is sent is compatible with all operating systems?
Kinds regards,
