Can not modify page content – Error : preg_replace(): Compilation failed

I tried to edit the home page content using WPBakery Page Builder, it got following message:

error shows:
: preg_replace(): Compilation failed: regular expression is too large at offset 39131 in xxxxxx

btw: the theme is installed on a brand new wordpress site and completed all the plugin installation.
