Change to one column for mobile

I have my form set up in a group as two columns for desktop and it looks great. When viewing on mobile devices I’d like the form to be responsive and collapse into one column. How do I do this? I’ve searched the internet and can’t seem to find the answer. Shouldn’t this happen automatically?

Thank you! For some reason I never noticed that check box, not sure why it was unchecked. It’s all working properly now.
