closing the Quform Colorbox after form is submitted

I’m using both Quform and Colorbox. When you get to my page, a Colobox lightbox opens automatically, with my Quform inside.

Upon sucessful completion of the Quform, I’d like the resulting action to be the lightbox closes (rather than a success message or redirect to another page).

I’ve been messing around with the code with no luck. How can I accomplish this?

Thanks for the level of detail, Ally, that’s perfect. In my case I needed it to close immediately. I had to make a small tweak since it’s iframed content that I’m closing, so my final code looks like this:

$config['successMessage'] = '<script>parent.$.colorbox.close();</script>';
