ParticipantHi,
I had my form all setup and it was working perfectly ok , today I went to test it as I had not received any emails where normally I would have, after filling out the form and clicking Submit it came up with the error message “Error, There was an error, please check all fields and correct as necessary”, however all fields were filled out properly and none where showing the usual red error message when you forget to fill out a field etc.
I tried clearing the cache and that did not help, I tried from a different computer on a different connection and got the same error message, I also tried using the SMTP plugin but that gave the same error too, strangely it was working fine just yesterday and I have made no changes to the form since then?
What could the issue be?

ParticipantBit of an update to this.
As a test I just created a new basic form with only name, email and message areas, put it on my site and this form sends just fine without any problems, so I know the sending part of things on my site works ok.
However my other form still will not send, I’ve been over all it’s settings, removed any validations it did have, removed all ‘Required’ settings but it still produces the error, I’m at a loss as to why that one won’t send yet the new one I just did will?

ParticipantPlease disregard, I have found the issue!
I have a Select Menu to choose up to 5 people on a booking form, if one person is selected then only 1 name field is shown, if two people selected then 2 name fields are shown etc etc, this is set as a required section.
The problem? , well I also had all of the 5 name fields set as ‘Required’ too, however as the form defaults to showing only the first persons name field the other 4 required fields were hidden on the form, and of course as they are all required and only 1 name was being filled out it was throwing an error because it expected the other 4 fields to be filled out as they were all set as required, but it wasn’t showing the error on the actual form as the fields were hidden because they were not selected!
After removing the ‘Required’ setting for all 5 name fields the form now works perfectly!
Now I need to work out how to make each name field required when selected from the select menu, i.e. if two people are selected then both name fields are shown and set as required, but the other 3 are not shown and are not required, not sure if that can be done yet but off to experiment!
🙂

ParticipantHi Ally,
Many thanks for the info, will update when 2.0.2 comes out and re-enable the required names. 🙂
