Honeypot Captcha does not catch spam

Is there something that can be done to strengthen the honeypot captcha? I would prefer not to use a visual captcha if i dont have to.

Hi Ally,
I have a couple ideas:
1) Using a more innocuous field name/label so bots think they’re entering data into a normal field.
2) Somehow trick the bot into thinking the field is required so it fills out the field.
