How to do date calculations

I need to do a check with a date field (Date>=Current Date – 14 days). My idea is to add a hidden form field and a date check by custom js in the settings onChange of the Date field that set’s this hidden field to 0/1, but i don’t get it to work.

Any ideas / Examples?
