    Hi,

On https://van-strien.nl/contact/ when you select “ik heb een klacht” in the first dropdown the image upload function is shown.
It was used by a user and for some reason the link of the uploaded image is not showing the image.
    it is this link: https://van-strien.nl/wp-content/uploads/quform/2/2025/07/20250722_150804.jpg

Link is not working from the e-mail and when i go to the entry in the WP dashboard under Quform, the link doesn’t show the image either.

But when I download the file via sFTP. is shows fine. don;t see anything wrong with the file.
The file is within the set limitations. (jpg under max MB).
I’m not really sure why it’s not showing via the link..

Hope you can help. If you need any login credentials just let me know.

    Kind regards,
    Emile

    Hi Ally,

    I’ve checked the permissions:
644 on the file that doesn’t work
644 on a file that works in the same directory as the file that doesn’t work
    https://van-strien.nl/wp-content/uploads/quform/2/2025/07/van-strien-1.jpg

755 on the directory and all the directories above.

I’m not seeing any .htaccess file.

    hope you can help.

    Kind regards,
    Emile

    Hi Ally,

Hmm ok.. thanks for your elaborate response, research and testing.
Weird that the file is uploaded as a .heic, but saved as a .jpg. I did experiment with some image optimizer plugins in the past to reduce file size of uploaded images (it should convert to .WebP), that could be the culprit, though..
I’ll look into it and run some test on the live website.
I’ll let you know what I find.

Thanks again for your help and insight.

    Kind regards,
    Emile
