Multi page form – "the response from the server was invalid or malformed"

For some reason, i’m getting the following error in a multi-page form.

When clicking NEXT to go to the next page the error is…

There was a problem
The response from the server was invalid or malformed

What could the reason for this be?

I am having this same problem. I know a plugin is causing the issue (gtranslate) but it is essential for my website. But when I switch the language in my website the form doesn’t work anymore .. it does work when the website is not translated. Is there a way we can fix it, please?

I did find a workaround.. when I turn off AJAX it works. Only thing is that if I click to the next page in my form. The page scrolls down too far. So the user will have to scroll up again to continue with it. Is there anything I can do about that. (as a plan B)?
