Is it the validation? It’s such a common name type?
The form goes nowhere when I try it using a name like that with an apostrophe, but no error message appears.

    Hi
This one is solved! It was my own fault.

It was a html 5 validation ‘pattern’ that was still left in an existing form, when I thought I’d removed them all in favour of quform validation. It was probably written badly anyway (by me).
Still, I learned from it and others might come across the problem too, if integrating with another form.
    Regards
    bb
