ParticipantHi,
I’m setting up my first form and I don’t understand how to setup an autoreply mail to the form submitter. In your documentation you start this subject with: “Tick this box to send an autoreply….” What box??? Where can I find it?Please explain in more detail how to set it up 🙂
Thanx,

ParticipantI’d like to know this too please!
I found the email section that is mentioned in the documentation below:
“To enable the sending of an autoreply email, you should have at least one Email Address element in your form and then, in the Form Builder, go to Settings → Email → Autoreply email settings. Tick the box Send autoreply email and then you can configure the autoreply using the new options that appear.”
But unfortunately I can’t find the ‘Autoreply’ section in my Form Builder at all, I only have settings for ‘Default recipient’ and Default “From” , there is nothing else there to do with Autoreply?

ParticipantHi Janneke,
I have found out how to setup the autoresponder, please do the following:
Go to the form that your wanting the autoresponder setup on, then click on the ‘cog wheel’ icon to the right of the spanner icon (see attached picture), then select Notifications, click on Add Notification, in the name field give it a name so you know what it is, I called mine AutoReply, in the subject put what you want it to be, mine was Re: {form_name} which is the shortcode of the form name so it would show to the user as Re: Contact Us, so you can use the short code to add the name of the form or other elements etc.
Next, add the text you want to say to your recipient, for example ‘Thank you for filling out this form’, again you can add shortcodes to include the persons name or other form fields etc.
Then, in the recipient field change the default entry of {default_email_address} to the shortcode of your forms email field, to find this click on the shortcode menu to the left of the first field, it looks like this </>, from the drop down menu, select from the top field ‘Submitted Form Value’, and choose ‘Email Address’, this will insert the email that is filled out by the user of the form, in my case it looked like this {element|id:5|Email address}, in the next box beside this (name) just leave this blank, then underneath this fill out the “From” address*, so put in the email address you want the form to say its coming from, and the name of your site in the name field, for instance admin@mysite.com, and in the name MySite, so when someone gets the autoreply it will display as coming from admin@mysite.com with the name of MySite.
And that’s basically it, leave the rest as is unless you need to change something, hopefully this helps you, I’ve included a picture just to show where to go. 🙂
