"Please select" for dropdown menus

Thanks again for being super helpful last time 🙂 Do love your Quform product!
I was hoping someone could help me with the following dropdown menu query: I currently have the first option in my dropdown menus displayed but I want “Please select” to appear (not as as option) in the field and then the user clicks the dropdown arrow for the options…if no option is selected for required fields the error message is displayed. I don’t know how to make this happen?! Hope this makes sense and you can point this novice in the right direction! 🙂
