We use Quform’s data for mailmerge with MS Word for Mac.

When we export the data to CSV, then save it in Excel, the merge fails at a specific field and says it needs delimiter characters. I notice that one record in this field contains the following code: #NAME?. Could this be causing the merge to fail? Is Quform inserting the #NAME? item?

I think we solved the problem. Apparently a user typed some sort of special character at the start of the field, which got interpreted as “-=” in the downloaded CSV file, and Excel interpreted it as a broken formula, hence the “#NAME?” error that caused the Word mail merge to stop at that record.
