Reference Number – Autonumber

I would like to ask you if there is a way to add a hidden field which will be an autonumber that can be used as a unique reference number when sending or replying to form emails.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to get the next available number from the database ID field?
For example if the current submission is 5 the next number should be 6 etc.

Is that possible?
