Require a Dropdown

Is there a way to require someone to choose a value in a dropdown other than the default?

I want to use dropdowns that default to the label “Choose” and require someone to use them and choose another value other than the default of “Choose”.

Selecting required does not seem to do anything and there are not a validating options in the advanced tab.

Figured this out, just leave the value blank for the label “Choose” then select required.

Works.
