Submission Message Disappears after adding Event Tracking Code

Hello,

I followed your instructions here: https://support.themecatcher.net/quform-wordpress/faq/integration/can-i-integrate-the-form-with-google-analytics-event-tracking for adding Google Analytics Event Tracking to my Submit Message.
This is the code I used:

Thanks for your submission, we will contact you soon!
<script>
ga(‘send’, ‘event’, ‘contact form’, ‘submission’,’Big Form’);
</script>

However immediately after adding the code, the successful submission text: ”
Thanks for your submission, we will contact you soon!” disappeared.

I have thus taken off the code for now and the message has come back. I am wondering why it is disappearing as I followed the instructions on the website. Thanks!
