Trouble Setting Up Gallery and Full Screen Images on Static Page (Like Demo)

When I follow the directions of creating a portfolio, then setting a featured image, the instructions do not tell you how to add multiple images to a portfolio. I would like to set up my portfolio with categories as in the demo also.

Issue #1:

I would like to upload 10 images for my Photography portfolio.
1. How do I upload many images to one portfolio in ADDITION to the set featured image?
2. Do they all have to be in the same category?
3. Can they be of different categories and then I specify which category each photo belongs to?

Issue #2:
I would like the landing page as seen in the demo.
I have followed all steps (created a static page, setup a background group with the dimensions suggested, gone to the static page, selected the group and clicked save, and yet I do not see it when I go to my url. http://www.virmanishop.com/blog/

Sometimes my storm facebook and storm twitter widgets in my footer don’t work?

Somebody please help! I want to set this up!!!

I am still a little confused regarding the Portfolio Images.

Step 1. Click on Portfolio
Step 2. Click on Add New
Step 3. Indicate Title
Step 4. Do I either:
Set Featured Image, Then Publish?
Or
Do I click on Add Media?

If I am to click on Add Media, Do I Insert Images Into Post or Do I Create a new gallery?

Nevermind I figured out Portfolios.

1. Is there a way to make the header where the menu is located a bit more transparent to show the background image?
2. Also, is there a way to make the drop down on the menu not have rounded edges?

Is there a way to move the Storm logo further left than the -50px?

1. On my site http://www.virmanishop.com/blog/ I notice that there is a larger space between About and the next menu item. Is there a way to specifically reduce the space after the about menu item?

2. Is there a way to reduce the space between all menu items?
