Update on Local Install – Now Can't Access

I”m working locally and used plugins to update Quform, I then go back to the website and the iphor-form builder directory is there but it is empty and all of my forms are gone. There is also a iphorm-upgrade.tmp directory.

What can I do to retrieve my forms?

Ok, got it back from backup but why would this happen if I did the update through the plugins panel?

I also noticed that the update, created an “upgrade” directory and put the old files in there (1.4.10).

What is the best way to update to avoid this problem from happening again or did I do something wrong?
