Layouts in content area
Column layouts shortcode
To add more variation to the content area you can use Column Layouts shortcode. See this page for more details.
Find out how to add a Side bar below.
Add a Side bar
There are three options for the structure of the page content area. You can add a Side bar (widget area) either to the left or right of the content area, or have no Side bar at all.
Add to Page
Go to: Theme Options → Global → Content → Content Options → Layout / page layout. You can set the default value for all pages (site default) and for Page layout – which will apply to all WordPress pages you create.
The above settings are the defaults, but you can change them on each page via the React Page options. Go to: Pages → Add page / edit page → React options → Layout to override these defaults.
Add to Blog
Go to: Theme Options → Blog → Blog settings → Layout / Single layout. You can set the Sidebar’s default position for main blog pages (archives, categories, etc) and the Single blog page (this is the page with the full article on it).
The above settings are the defaults, but you can change them on each post via the React Page options. Go to: Pages → Add post / edit post → React options → Layout to override these defaults.
Add to Portfolio
Go to: Theme Options → Portfolio → General → Single layout. You can set the Sidebar’s default position on Portfolio pages (any page added via the Portfolio section in the WordPress menu).
The above settings are the defaults, but you can change them on each Portfolio page via the React Page options. Go to: Pages → Add portfolio page / edit portfolio page → React options → Layout to override these defaults.
Adjust the Sidebar / Content area width
Go to: Theme Options → Global → Content → Sidebar (and widgets) → Width of sidebar. Adjust the width of the Sidebar here and the content area will adjust automatically.
