This error can happen if there is conflict with another plugin or the active theme, or if HTTP communication from within a PHP script is blocked on your server.
Solution #1
In WordPress go to Forms → Settings → Tweaks & Troubleshooting and turn off the option Secure API requests.
Save the settings.
Then try verifying the license key again.
Solution #2
To check if there is a conflict with another plugin or the theme, try the steps below.
1. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins on the WordPress menu and deactivate all plugins (except from Quform).
2. Then go to Appearance → Themes and activate any default WordPress theme (for example Twenty Seventeen).
3. Now go to Forms → Settings → License & Updates on the WordPress menu and try to verify the license key again. If this doesn’t work, go to Solution #3.
4. Activate the original theme and previously active plugins again.
